Rahul Prabhu

CFO

Rahul has over a decade of progressive experience in financial services. He currently oversees the finance function at TechFinance providing guidance in the areas of strategic and financial management, capital raising, budgeting, compliance and investor reporting.

Rahul worked at Standand & Poor’s (S&P) for seven years, most recently as a Director in their Structured Finance group. He served as the primary credit analyst for several leading prime and subprime issuers including Santander Consumer, Chrysler Capital, Westlake Financial, CarMax, M&T Bank and USAA, regularly interacting with the CFOs and treasury teams and providing guidance on their securitization programs. Prior to S&P, Rahul spent several years in corporate finance at GE Capital in their Commercial Finance team. He successfully led two major projects to transition credit analytical processes to GE’s global analytical center in India. For his efforts on these projects, he received the GE Risk Leadership Award from the CRO of GE Equipment Services in 2005. Rahul started his career at a middle market investment bank Avendus Capital where he worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) group. He worked on several cross border M&A transactions in the technology space.

Rahul’s advanced professional qualifications include an MBA from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certifications. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with a specialization in financial accounting.

Rahul also has firsthand experience in the financial needs of startups having founded two companies: Education Beyond Frontiers, an educational venture offering online after school tutoring programs, and WineZetta, an e-commerce fine wine retailer. He enjoys leveraging his startup experience and financial expertise to help TechFinance’s clients.
